Singapore Toys Games & Comic Convention 2009 and so on :D

Saturday
I had hi-tea with my family at Ellenborough Market Café at Swissotel Merchant Court as my mum managed to win 2 tickets to hi-tea so she only had to pay for another 2 more person. I was really looking forward to it and somehow it turned out to be a dissapointment in some areas. The food wasn't really very delicious although they did have a large variety of food. There was lontong goreng, tahu goreng and so on. My favorite was bread and butter pudding! YUMS!
After that, I wanted to go to the Toys Games & Comic Convention 2009 so my mum went along with me because we were really full and we just had to walk around. We saw many cosplayers! Hahas.
We saw bumblebee at the entrance of the hall. Wonder how he sees =X

I saw this and I immediately told my mum that this is the picture of the doll that siew lin wears on her earrings! Hahas.

We stopped in front of Monopoly City and there were two booths to allow people to try out the games. One in front and another behind. The front was crowded with people and the one at the back was empty. However, when we walked to the back, my mum said "Wah! He so lonely". She meant the person in charge of the booth. And apparently the guy heard and said "Yes! I'm so lonely!" Hahas. We were shocked because she said it too loudly. After that, we approached the guy and he introduced the game to us. Monopoly City is a whole new level different from the Monopoly that we normally play. You don't have Community Chest anymore and there are two types of houses that you can choose to build: the residential and industrial house. There are also auctions tile that you can land on and you can build a school or prison. Sounds confusing eh? The people around me, listening to the guy's explanation were all middle aged people. And we were all "HUH?". According to the guy, it just came out 3 days ago so it costs $79.90.

I know. Very ex right? I'll wait for the prices to drop and might consider buying it. Hahas. Wait for offer! :P

There was a bridal and beauty exhibition going on next door so we went over as my mum wanted to take a look at some spa promotions and offer. We walked one round and these guys keep offering to me the promotions of the bridal company. Hahahs. There was one guy who asked my mum if I was going to get married and my mum said NO. Hahahs. There was another that was equally hilarious. I'll make it to a conversation form.

Guy (asking my mum): Is she your sister?

Mum: Yes.

Guy: oooooooooh~

Me: Actually, I'm her daughter.

And the best part was that they looked like they didn't believe it. They really thought that I was "her sister". All thanks to my mum. Then my mum had to remind me that if I'm "her sister", they think that I look older :(

Sunday

Went to watched orphan because my mum said that the reviews, according to the chinese newspapers were very good. Walked around at artbox at amk hub. The funny thing was that I realised that amk hub had an artbox only a few days ago. -.-

Anyways, the storyline for the movie was HORRIBLE! What kind of a person can have a disorder that makes her look as young as a child?!UGH! And the father would choose to trust the kid instead of the mother? Their acting was not bad and there were some moments that I jerked but it wasn't really scary at all. -.- Hahas. My dad left the movie halfway (I think) and went to NTUC to buy breakfast. Yes, it was that boring to him!
